What is your general impression of this chapter? It gave good insight into the different ways people learn, based on a number of factors.
What was new information for you? Probably the way things were categorized.
What was information you might not have thought about for a while, but deserves reconsideration? Why ELLs write as they do
Anything important that Samway left out? Not at first glance.
How are you starting to think about writing as it applies to ELLs? I have many Spanish speakers in my classes this year, several of whom have only been un the USA for a year or so. Maybe I need to take a different approach to getting them to write as they can in English and prompt their tutors to draw from the initial writings the kids develop.
